Mokslo filosofija ir mokslo istorija

Londono ekonomikos mokykloje balandžio 28-29 d. vyks įdomus seminaras apie mokslinį realizmą “Scientific Realism Revisited” kaip projekto “Contingency and Dissent in Science” dalis. Johno Worrallo pranešimo pavadinimas (“Realisms for sale: entity, experimental, structural (epistemic and ontic), partial, ‘full-on’ …. But will the real realism stand up please?”) gana uždegantis “tikro realizmo” klausimu, kai mokslinio realizmo rūšių kiekis pernelyg išaugęs. Bet ir visi pranešimai turėtų būti įdomūs. Šia proga verta prisiminti Philipo Kitcherio 2001 m. straipsnį “Real Realism: The Galilean Strategy”.

Kaip pastebiu, Sherrilyn Roush vis darosi populiaresnė. Kažkada su ja buvome susitikę Hanoveryje konferencijoje apie nebendramatiškumą; tada buvome jauni doktorantai (tiesa, nevisiškai jauni, bet doktorantai :)). Buvo įdomu, nors entuziazmas dėl nebendramatiškumo nepadarė man (ir dabar nedaro) jokio įspūdžio, ir tai labai švelniai tariant (tiesmukiškiau suformuluosiu vėliau).

Seminaras yra atviras, tik reikia užsiregistruoti elektroniniu paštu.
